SERVICESHEET

For concrete fleets and workshops

Concrete pumps and agitators: track the hours behind the kilometres.

Concrete pumps and agitators can spend much of a shift running without travelling far. Service Sheet helps concrete fleet owners, workshop managers and maintenance coordinators collect engine-hour and kilometre readings, track their own service intervals and keep factual issue reports with the right vehicle.

A practical evaluation

Road distance tells only part of the working day

01

Pumping while stationary

A truck-mounted concrete pump may travel a short distance between jobs, then run its engine or PTO for hours during the pour. Little movement does not mean little operating time. Record the actual engine-hour meter where available; Service Sheet does not infer pumping hours from distance.

02

Agitator time between deliveries

Short routes, batching-plant queues, loading, site waiting and unloading can all add engine operating time. Repeated delivery cycles may accumulate substantial engine hours alongside modest kilometres.

03

Intervals set by your business

Choose engine hours, kilometres, both measurements, or recurring calendar maintenance where required. Your organisation defines every interval and warning threshold using its manufacturer guidance, maintenance provider and operating conditions. Service Sheet tracks that configuration; it does not prescribe servicing.

How it works

Scan. Enter. Done. From the person already at the truck.

  1. Scan the permanent QR code

The concrete pump operator or agitator driver opens the asset from its label. No operator account or app installation is required. If scanning is unavailable, visit servicesheet.com.au/operator and enter the five-character fallback code.

  2. Enter current engine hours

Read the meter at the vehicle and enter the displayed value. Add kilometres too when the asset requests both. Management can collect the facts without repeatedly calling to ask, “What are the engine hours?”

  3. Report an issue if needed

Record a factual observation against the same asset, with a photo where available. A reading and an issue are separate submissions; neither requires the driver to diagnose a maintenance requirement.

  4. Submit, then let the manager review

The submitted information reaches the asset record. Fleet staff review schedule status, unusual readings, issues and retained service history. The manager remains responsible for maintenance and operating decisions.

Before you choose

Two working-day examples — illustrative only

Concrete boom pump: a truck drives 40 km to a job, remains stationary for several hours while its engine/PTO operates throughout the pour, then travels 40 km back. The illustrative 80 km road total describes the journey, not all the engine operating time. The actual meter reading gives the workshop another useful input for the intervals it has configured.

Concrete agitator: a shift combines short delivery routes with batching-plant queues, loading, site waiting and unloading. The engine may remain running through several of those stages. Across repeated cycles, the engine-hour reading can tell a different story from the odometer. Collecting both helps the manager follow whichever measurements their maintenance plan requires.

These examples are not service recommendations. Concrete trucks and pumps do not all share an interval, meter arrangement or duty cycle. Use the measurements available on the actual asset. Service Sheet does not estimate separate PTO, pumping or drum hours, install telematics, diagnose a fault or decide whether equipment is safe to operate.
